PREVIOUS EVENTS
AT GALLERY MELEFORS
Art is best experienced live. On location in the Gallery in Linköping, a vernissage is arranged approximately once a month all year round.
We want to keep a wide range and like to switch between contemporary artists, where the artist himself is often present, and more classic collections.
Below we have collected the previous exhibitions we had for the history writing.
If you find something here that appeals to you and evokes an emotion, all you must do is get in touch.
We are happy to help you find more works or to find something similar!

ART & ANTIQUES FAIR STOCKHOLM
The traditional Art & Antique Fair in Stockholm 18-22 May 2022. For over two long years we waited to once again enjoy art and design from all eras. We from Galleri Melefors were of course there with a stand and catalog filled with exciting works and artists from both the classic, modern and contemporary.

MAY 2022
ÅSA ERIKSSON
The mystery in Åsa Eriksson's landscape creates an opportunity for the viewer's imagination to take inspiration and travel freely. The strong recognition without precision invites your own interpretation of her visual world. Åsa's creations grab our senses and draw us into the motifs. Åsa Eriksson was born outside Umeå, her childhood was marked by nature and its changeability. The heavy forests, rivers, ponds, blooming meadows and the changing of the seasons. In nature, she created her own enchanting worlds and adventures. The magic and the experiences are still there, even after 25 years as an artist. Åsa paints nature and places that she wants to step into, experience and stay in for a while.

APRIL 2022
AFFORDABLE ART FAIR STOCKHOLM
At Affordable Art Fair 2022, we had art from about 10 artists who are extremely interesting to the modern collector, and we warmly welcomed Nadine Schjölin, who premiered at Affordable Artfair!

APRIL 2022
HELENA TROVAJ
Helena Trovaj finds inspiration in living things and the motifs can vary from cities, people and water to urban environments. Encounters are visualized through the noise of the city, restaurant environments and people, across streets together with a clear accent color, which is a strong characteristic of her painting. From initially reproducing the landscape in a neat and orderly way just as it is, she has gradually moved to instead creating her own interpretations of the environments. In the light's alternations between light and dark, the watercolors emerge.

MARCH 2022

During the month of March and until Easter, several contemporary artists visited Linköping and Galleri Melefors with their works. Emilia Linderholm, Pierre Rådsten, Robert Hilmersson, Helle Bang, Christian Koivumaa and Micke Johansson.

FEBRUARY 2022
ROBERT HILMERSSON VS ANDY WARHOL
Robert Hilmersson is one of the country's most interesting and internationally recognized pop & street art artists. Having just returned from a successful participation in London at the Phillips auction for emerging artists, we welcome Robert to Linköping for the opening and exhibition. Together, a catalog of Andy Warhol's editions is shown. One of Robert Hilmersson's sources of inspiration. An exciting connection between the present and the past.

NOVEMBER 2021
SUSANNA ARWIN
Susanna Arwin's aunts stand for courage and civil courage in everyday life. To stably and strongly stand up for the humane and human perspective with the heart in the right place and be able to put the foot down when needed. With inspiration from role models such as Astrid Lindgren and the expression in the orthodox icons, the philosophy tantfullness was formed - to be a good fellow human being who dares to speak up when needed. With the purse as a weapon if necessary.

SEPTEMBER 2021
TOMAS LACKE
In Tomas Lacke's artistry there is a fascination for creating something beautiful out of the darkness that surrounds us. He sheds light on man and his behavior. Our dependence on technology, our vanity and our ambivalent fear of not fitting in, yet our desire to be original. From the gloom and contemporary anguish and fears, he still brings out a hopeful light and the beautiful.

MAY 2021
EMILIA LINDERHOLM
For the spring exhibition at Galleri Melefors, I have collected works from December 2020 until a few months ago. During this period of my life, I longed for freedom a lot. Freedom to be able to hug. Meet who I want. Take the train to a new city. The longing to be able to sit in a cafe with good friends or have a glass of wine with new acquaintances. I have also gone through a great sadness in my life when my father Gösta Linderholm quickly left the earthly life in December 2020.

APRIL 2021
MAURITZ KARSTRÖM
Mauritz's spontaneous abstract expressionist work is rarely conventionally beautiful or follows any rules. On the other hand, the originality, authenticity of the impressions and feelings the paintings evoke are of the highest quality. Mauritz's painting is like taking a step into a dream life in constant frenzy. A spell to keep evil spirits at bay.

MARCH 2021
PIERRE RÅDSTEN
Pierre Rådsten is a fantastic narrative naïve with a wonderfully colorful palette. His paintings and art are densely painted in oil with an unparalleled richness of detail. Through his paintings and artworks, we encounter influences from the early naïves who gather in his idyllic settings and crowds. Join us on a life-affirming journey in the positive signs of naivety!

NOVEMBER 2020
JOHAN KROUTHEN
It is with great pleasure that we present a total of 17 oil paintings by Johan Krouthen in his hometown, Linköping. Krouthen was one of Sweden's most influential landscape painters during the late 19th century. Professor Hans Nilson from Linköping University gives a presentation and guides us through Krouthen's life and works. Take the opportunity to take part in Johan Krouthen's warm world of motifs!

NOVEMBER 2020
MARIA BOSTÖM
Maria Boström, artist based in Stockholm. Originally from Jakobstad, Finland. In her abstract painting, she lets color and form together with imagination flow freely across the canvases. A presence is set in motion. Boström sees his art as a channeling, where the soul communicates through the brush – melodic creations take shape. Boström's creativity and personality shine through everything she does. Her sense of colour, form & harmony is like oxygen to her. Life-giving and creatively nourishing. Galleri Melefors is proud to represent Maria Boström and her art, welcome into her well-balanced image sphere!

OCTOBER 2020
LINDSTRÖM VS NALIWAJKO
Bengt Lindström and Jan Naliwajko belong to some of the most valued artists we conveyed and collaborated with during the late 20th century. We are now presenting an exciting collection of Bengt Lindström's carborundum engravings "Images of God" together with a limited number of oil paintings. And the last paintings from our own collection by Jan Naliwajko.

SEPTEMBER 2020
MICKE JOHANSSON
Micke Johansson is the natural talent who once became Sweden's youngest master glassblower. He works mainly in the ariel and grail techniques, testing possibilities and challenging the techniques. The Ariel technique, which means "spirit of air" was developed by Gustav Bergkvist in 1936. "- The finest glass blowing technique is Ariel." Micke Johansson has developed and refined the technique and is now the only master in the world who blows the double-ariel technique. Meet Micke and see his latest work in the Gallery!
