Bengt Lindström (1925-2008) is known as a visual artist and has had a great impact with his pasty abstract spontaneity painting with strong colors and distorted faces. Lindström made several monumental paintings and one of his single largest works is the silo painting in Örebro.
In collaboration with the poet and friend Max-Pol Fouchet, Bengt Lindström created "Heracles' 12 great deeds" in 1977 in edition 99. The color carborundum engravings illustrate the heroic great deeds that the hero performed to atone for his crime of murdering his wife and children. In Diomède, Heracles is depicted as retrieving the man-eating horses from the Thracian king Diomedes.
