"Out of Sight" is made in Kosta and the sculpture is blown using sub-capture technology. The glassblower's barrel with the handle is first rolled in glass paint crusher, which makes each pattern image unique. Each item is signed and inspected by Markus Åkesson. Out of Sight is a limited edition of 100 copies per color scheme.
Markus Åkesson (b.1975) is highly regarded for his skill in realistic figurative painting. The studio in Nybro is surrounded by the forest with its inexhaustible source of inspiration. Markus Åkesson's art explores the worlds that open up when humans connect with nature and above all what is hidden behind the scenes. In recent years, he is mainly famous for the imaginative portraits of people completely covered in patterned fabric against a background of the same fabric. Largely self-taught, Markus Åkesson has established himself internationally with several major exhibitions, mainly in France, including Galerie Da-End in Paris. His works can be found in several famous international collections, both private and public.
