Pelle Åberg's (1909-1964) education began with his father and ended with study trips to Italy, France, England and Spain. In between, Åberg studied at the Technical School in Stockholm 1927-1929. Today we know Pelle Åberg as a folk life portrayer with a sense of humor. Among the motifs, mostly done in oil, one finds clowns, ladies with funny hats, elderly people, prostitutes and playful cityscapes. Today Åberg is also associated with decorations for Stockholms Södra teatern and Scalateatern. Among the public works can be mentioned the churches in Öjebyn and Enånger. Åberg actively participated in Stockholm's art life and belonged to the artist group 'De unga'.
