In between, Åberg studied at the Technical School in Stockholm from 1927-1929. Today we know Pelle Åberg as a folk painter with a sense of humor. Among the motifs, most often done in oil, are clowns, ladies with funny hats, elderly people, prostitutes and playful cityscapes. Åberg is also associated today with decorations for the Södra Teatern and the Scalateatern, and among his public works are the churches in Öjebyn and Enånger.
