Yrjö Edelmann Artist (1941–2016) Finnish/Swedish visual artist born in Helsinki. Edelmann's paintings are illusionistic with a bright color scale influenced by American photorealism. He is best known for his very special trompe-l'œil motifs, where his super-realistic motifs of crumpled paper, envelopes and napkins attracted great international interest. Edelmann's creation challenges our senses. It is a play with color and shape. In its super-realistic style, we are lulled into a dream-like image, where we hover between reality and dream. As in a blur between reality or fantasy. Galleri Melefors is incredibly proud to be able to offer its customers these exclusive works of art.
