Yrjö Edelmann
Yrjö Edelmann
Yrjö Edelmann Artist (1941–2016) Finnish/Swedish visual artist born in Helsinki. Edelmanns paintings are illusionistic with a bright color scale influenced by American photorealism. He is best known for his very special trompe-l'œil motifs, where his super-realistic motifs with crumpled paper, envelopes and napkins attracted great international interest. Edelmann's creation challenges our senses. It is a play with color and shape. In his super-realistic style, we are lulled into a dreamlike image, where we float between reality and dream. As if in a haze between reality or fantasy. Galleri Melefors is incredibly proud to be able to offer its customers these Exclusive works of art.
