THREE STEPS FOR A SMOOTH SALE

Sell through Galleri Melefors in three simple steps. You always have full control over the process and can take it at the pace that suits you best. A sales process takes place in three stages. We value your work and then, based on valuation, wishes and conditions, we reach an agreement. After that, we at Galleri Melefors take care of everything.

The valuation is usually carried out through a preliminary assessment via phone or email. A final valuation is obtained when our expert has inspected the work with his own eyes. The better image material and information you provide us with, the quicker we can get back to you. A preliminary valuation and advice before selling is always free of charge and you are not committed to carrying out a sale. Contact us in the gallery in Linköping or by phone and email and we will help you!

After a completed valuation, we write an agreement on the sales assignment. All sales have different conditions and there are different paths to take after what suits you best. You usually choose between a sale on commission, a cash offer from us or a trade-in as part of another deal. Regardless of which option you choose, we agree on a sum, and it applies. You always know what you will get in your hand after the sale is completed. If a discreet sale is desired, we will of course help with that. We value your privacy and, if desired, no price information will be searchable on the internet.

Then it's time for the sale. We studio photograph the work professionally, with a 360-view if it is a sculpture, and promote your work online, physically in the gallery in Linköping and, if appropriate, at fairs or exhibitions. We handle all customer contact and take care of the delivery to the new owner. Of course, your work is covered by our insurance from the time it arrives to us until the new owner has received it in their hands. No fees are charged. That's how smooth it is.

MODERN & CONTEMPORARY AT

Swedish modern art is perhaps primarily associated with the early, pioneering artists in the circle of the so-called Matisse students. In the early 20th century, they introduced modernism to Sweden. Names such as Isaac Grünewald, Sigrid Hjertén, Nils Dardel and Leander Engström are the best known. But Helmer Osslund's Gauguinian features also deserve to be mentioned here. Later in the 20th century, they were followed by e.g. the Halmstad Group, the Gothenburg Colorists, Naivists, concretists such as Baertling and cubism with e.g. G.A.N. But Yrjö Edelmann and Markus Åkesson's distinctive realism and Bengt Lindström & Mauritz Karström's powerful expressivism also deserve to be mentioned. All are very interesting for our customers and collectors.

A few examples:

Matisse students - Isaac Grünewald, Sigrid Hjertén, Leander Engström, Einar Jolin, Nils Dardel, Maj Bring
