Per Nylén (1965) was born in Robertsfors, Västerbotten and studied at Umeå Art School (1992-94). In addition to painting, Nylén is also creative in music and graphic design and more. The biggest feature of his artwork is the mysterious and enigmatic cloud houses, floating and evoking imagination. The color tones are in blue or orange and the technique is mainly acrylic, although oil pastels are not uncommon. Per Nylén himself makes similes to short films in his paintings, even though you never find out who lives in the houses. The titles complement this by being humorous, ironic and alluding to the "bachelor life". Nylén has exhibited several times in Sweden but also abroad, including London and New York.
