Per Nylén

Per Nylén (1965) was born in Robertsfors, Västerbotten and studied at Umeå Art School (1992-94). In addition to painting, Nylén is also creative in music and graphic design, etc. The biggest characteristic of his artwork is the mysterious and enigmatic cloud houses, floating and imaginative. The colors are blue or orange and the technique is mainly acrylic, although oil pastel is not uncommon. Per Nylén himself makes comparisons to short films in his paintings, even though you never find out who lives in the houses. The titles complement this by being humorous, ironic and alluding to the "Swedish life". Nylén has exhibited several times in Sweden but also abroad, including London and New York.
