Georg Pauli Artist (1855–1935) He took inspiration from Rome in classical art, which he used for his fresco painting in his many decoration works for public and private environments in Sweden. However, in 1911–12, Pauli studied with André Lhote in Paris, and thereafter he developed a new idiom of slightly cubist stylizations of nature. Pauli was the oldest among Swedish Cubists. He used technology as a problem solver, to create a whole of the room. He used these skills in his execution of the mural painting in Jönköping Läroverk, 1912. This was the first cubist mural painting in Sweden.
