IMAGINE A WORLD IN PEACE is a series of painted fiberglass revolvers. The revolver has inspired famous artists and role models in sports, film, music and art, but also children from different parts of the world. The revolver with a knot, Non Violence, was created by Carl Fredrik Reuterswärd as a tribute and a memorial after John Lennon was murdered in New York in 1980. A large Non Violence revolver was placed outside the UN building in New York in 1988 as a symbol of peace. The Non Violence Project works to inspire, motivate and engage young people in positive thinking and action to teach them to understand and resolve conflicts without violence.
