Vladimir Volegov (b. 1957), currently residing on the Spanish Costa Brava, has spent more than three decades refining the art of capturing candlelight on canvas. His figurative painting combines the classical European tradition with a free, expressive brushwork where Mediterranean sun, filtered shadows and intimate moments meet.
 
Whether the subject is a quiet moment in a lush garden or the changing light on the coast, it is the atmosphere and the refraction of light that take center stage.
