With a unique sense of color and light, he portrays our Nordic landscapes in atmospheric moments – from the first rays of summer morning light over a blooming meadow to the dazzling glow of the Northern Lights across the winter sky. Koivumaa’s art captures the beauty in nature's stillness and evokes a sense of closeness to our surroundings. From November 29 to December 1, you are warmly invited to the vernissage and mingle at Galleri Melefors, where Christian will be present. The whispering of the white trunks about spring and the beautiful winter's steady companion – the birch – is something Koivumaa returns to in his works. The name "Koivumaa" can be translated from Finnish as "birchland," and what could be a more fitting name for an artist who paints the beauty of birches with such skill and care?
