FOLLOWS THE FLOW
On April 13, we will open a new colorful exhibition with the very exciting artist Nadine "Nasch" Schjölin. The now 29-year-old NASCH established herself as an artist at a young age when her work was exhibited during Liljevalchs' Spring Salon, which became the start of her professional artistic career.
NASCH's upcoming exhibition catalog, we believe, clearly shows her ability and talent to create unique, well-balanced moods in her "abstract-expressive" motifs.
Nadine "NASCH" Schjölin likes to paint with strong and large brushstrokes. Vibrant colors in layer upon layer lift each other and patterns grow in contrasts between light and dark. The paintings become like mirrors, unique to everyone who looks at them. There is no right or wrong, no requirements for what to feel and experience.
Welcome to experience NASCH's wonderful catalog!

ABOUT NASCH
It was after her studies that Nadine started experimenting in her mother's studio and found a passion for oil. She has always loved to challenge herself and push the limits. She says that her way of creating has grown out of a protest against her inner perfectionist. Today, her painting is about letting go, landing in the present and following intuition. The paintings are a tribute to free creation and creativity. It should be playful, open, undemanding and colourful.
"We are not meant to put up walls and relate to some conclusion that the past has created. I try to erase my own limiting thoughts, sometimes I fall there but I trust that power inside me, which bubbles and takes me forward, which gives nourishment and peace".

THE FREEDOM OF CREATIVITY
For Nadine Nasch Schjölin, painting is about letting go, landing in the present, following your impulses and just being. The paintings reflect her way of seeing; to look inward to reflect the outside world. It should be free, playful, open, undemanding and colourful. Nadine believes that the power of creativity is one of our main abilities as humans. It works on so many levels and has no limitations. It is the process from thought to idea to physical work. It is healing, like entering another world where anything is possible. She loves being there and just breathes in the love.
RESISTING PERFECTIONISM
Many of Nadine's paintings are so free that we can both look at and hang them in different directions. She wants there to be space for the viewer to feel in and dream away for themselves.
"My way of creating and being has grown out of a protest against my inner perfectionist, when I was a child I loved to draw realistically, a direct reflection of what I saw in the smallest detail. If it didn't turn out as I had planned, I threw away the piece. Very dramatic, I couldn't appreciate what was and I only saw the mistakes. When I think back, I laugh at the little me and yet she is still there. I have learned to see the whole thing, appreciate everything that becomes. I drawn to art contrasts, light and dark, when colors lift each other and interact into a beautiful dynamic, that's a bit how I live, I love change, movement is what makes me grow and expand, find a balance in it."
