Jan Naliwajko (1938-2017) He is a visual artist and sculptor born in Vilnius
in Lithuania. He studied at the Vilnius Academy of Arts. In the 1960s he lived in Warsaw at this time with a group of young artists who organized an independent art exhibition in the Barbican and other places in the Old Town from 1963 to 1967. He emigrated to Sweden in 1968. Naliwajko worked in painting, Prints and sculpture. In his figurative art, he combines religious symbolism, a sublime divinity with erotic elements, which gives the compositions a vibrant atmosphere. His work is characterized by a wealth of color and dynamic forms. Naliwajko has exhibited internationally in bl.a. France, Switzerland, USA. He also embodied his dream of painting together with his idol, Salvador Dalí.
