A sparkling autumn vernissage in the sign of love and the eternal art of living. Autumn's fresh air and gently beginning color changes are the backdrop for yet another opportunity to gather. This time it is Pernilla P. Stappe's colorfully exuberant work that fills the gallery and brings back memories of the glorious season that was.
A WORLD OF JOY, DREAMS AND WISHES
With heartfelt joie de vivre, the warmth radiates from the canvases and invites you to meet blushing couples in love, lustful dinner parties, accompany you on romantic bike rides along a blooming meadow and maybe even see a secret picnic among the foliage at the top of a tree canopy. We invite you to everything and much more come to the exhibition and opening at the gallery. We are happy to present this collection by Pernilla P Stappe exclusively here at Galleri Melefors. Pernilla has carved out her own niche on the Swedish art scene with a distinct power and quality as well as a sense of detail and humor. It's art that makes you feel good and want to spend more time in good company and beautiful environments - the kind of things that we humans always feel best about. A couple in love gazes lovingly out of the canvas. Pernilla smiles whimsically and says: "They are here inside me. There isn't a single person in my pictures that I haven't put myself into. It's a kind of care I feel, a responsibility even, that all the figures I create should feel good and be an inalienable part of the whole."
In Pernilla P. Stappe's inviting naïve paintings, the mood is dreamy, romantic, and festive. The works' consistent theme is the social interaction in the meeting between people in different contexts and constellations. Toasts are made and the joyfully expectant mood rises over the party-goers who look forward to an evening filled with happy socializing and music.
The beautifully narrative naïve paintings are imbued with love, joy and describe an almost idyllic existence. The mind is taken to a place where time has stopped and we are reminded that people's joys throughout all ages are the same – we always reconnect with each other and celebrate life through partying, love, socializing and lively meals in beautiful places.

BLUE, GREEN, AND BIRD'S QUAIL
The paintings are executed with great precision, deep patience and highlight a romantic mixture of naïve scenes with slightly impressionistic views of nature. Different types of trees in dreamy colors are a familiar feature, sometimes combined with surreal architecture. A narrow but very tall hotel can act as a party venue: "My architecture is not necessarily based on functionality, but an external elevator could very well be hidden at the back."
It will be a fabulous mixture that invites you to fantasize away and live out your desires and dreams.
