Pernillas Stappe's visual world revolves around snapshots, where she allows herself to be inspired by the world around her. In her colorful stories, you can feel the mood through looks or gestures, feel its tension and anticipation, before the welcome toast is served. The paintings should convey a positive feeling. Where our social interaction takes center stage, via scenes of party and music, filled with love and joy. With permission "to have a little fun", in a beautified world of fantasy and dreams. It will be a naïve journey with a feeling for moods.

In her colorful and empathetic artistry, Pernilla P. Stappe gets an outlet for her creativity and can live out her fantasies. Here she creates a world that she herself wishes it were, where the social interaction between people is in focus. In the inviting and richly detailed oil paintings, you get to meet blushing lovers, lustful dinner parties, join romantic bike rides by a blooming meadow and maybe even a secret picnic among the foliage at the top of a tree canopy.

A WORLD OF JOY, DREAMS AND WISHES

The narrative and beautifully naive paintings are imbued with love and joy and describe an almost idyllic existence. The mind is taken to a place where time has stopped and we are reminded that people's joys throughout all ages are the same – we always reconnect with each other and celebrate life through partying, love, socializing and lively meals in beautiful places.

"THERE IS ALWAYS A REASON TO CELEBRATE"

The paintings are executed with great precision and deep patience and highlight a romantic mixture of naïve scenes with slightly impressionistic views of nature. Different types of trees in dreamy colors are another familiar feature, sometimes combined with surreal architecture. A narrow but very tall hotel can act as a party venue: "My architecture is not necessarily based on functionality, but an external elevator could very well be hidden at the back." It will be a fabulous mixture that invites you to fantasize away and live out your desires and dreams.

IDYLLIC STUDIO

In the middle of Sweden's Västergötland's undulating landscape and forests, Pernilla P. Stappe lives and works in an idyllically pleasant studio next to the red house where she lives. She has been active as an artist since the nineties and works mainly in oil and gouache.
