Charlotte Sjöborg is educated at the Bergen Academy of Fine Arts and the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Stockholm, and has exhibited for over twenty years, from Liljevalchs Vårsalong to art halls and galleries in Sweden and Norway. Today her work is in 19 public collections.
 
Her painting takes its cue from the opulent floral still lifes of the Baroque and vanitas tradition. But in her hands, the perfect bouquets are allowed to fall apart: the brushstrokes are drawn out horizontally, the paint flows and the contours dissolve amidst the most magnificent blooms. Dreamy landscapes and colorful birds take the mind beyond the pure still life.
