Frequently Asked Questions
Andreas Lundberg - Gabrielle
Andreas Lundberg (b. 1973) is a Stockholm-based fine art photographer with a story-driven and expressive imagery.
In the project Silent Stories, created together with his wife Annie Vesterdahl Lundberg, real-life events are transformed into timeless photographs that invite the viewer into a world of human experiences.
"In the quiet corridors of the convent, where eleven-year-old Gabrielle Chanel learned to sew, her destiny took shape. The color black, the symbol of her future, surrounded her in the nun's robes. With a needle and thread, she created not just Canvases but a revolution for women.
During World War I, she kept her shop open, defying the constraints of the time and giving women freedom through shorter skirts and simpler garments. But in the triumph there was also sorrow; she lost two sisters and her beloved "Boy".
After the war, everything changed. She cut her hair, put on makeup and created the iconic little black dress. Despite economic crises and world wars, she continued to seek perfection. Coco Chanel showed the world how to live and die in style, a symbol of freedom and elegance."

Johan Melefors, born 1971, founder and CEO of Galleri Melefors, grew up in a family that is the third generation in the auction and antiques industry. Already during his childhood, Johan developed an interest in art and since the early 1990s has collected and traded classic, modern and contemporary art. He started Galleri Melefors in Linköping in 2013 when he moved home from Stockholm to his birthplace of Linköping, which he felt lacked an art store and gallery with a breadth of established collector's art and a well-thought-out and future-oriented contemporary catalog to display.
