Karl-Erik Höglund , born in Stockholm in 1940, trained graphic artist who has been active since 1957 as well as visual artist and sculptor. In his art, Höglund has taken an interest in the play between light and shadow. In strong and clear colours, he paints figures and landscapes with inspiration from the French Impressionists. Höglund creates illusions in his paintings and in his graphic sheets, by exploiting the play between light and shadow, with various small value shifts. He is a colorist who mainly paints people in natural & archipelago environments. He is represented in a number of different municipalities and county councils across the country.
