Vladimir Volegov is a modern master of the old school. With an amazing ability to capture the light on the canvases, his vibrant color palette and bold strokes, Volegov creates figurative paintings with a timeless feel. Like a moment frozen in time. In recent years, Volegov has strengthened his romantic realist style with inspiration from artists such as John Singer Sargent and Joaquin Sorolla. His sublimely romantic style has made his paintings sought after both in Russia, Europe and the USA. In the painting Vadstena Slott, Vladimir Volegov has captured the soul of the Swedish summer idyll Vadstena. Historical connections, the fantastic light over the water playing in the clouds of the sky and a soft greenery that gently frames the marina. A romantic Swedish holiday dream that also captured Volegov's heart during the visit to Sweden in the summer of 2017.
