Petra Dorst, born in 1976 in the Netherlands, has since childhood had a strong motivation to create a dream world around her. This is still evident today in her playful sculptural art. "You don't make art... it arises from within," says Petra. Thanks to her many years of experience, she masters beautiful materials such as bronze, gold and silver in the sculptures.
"You don't become an artist; you are an artist because you have no other choice. It's as if the urge to create comes deep from the subconscious. It's always present, creating is like breathing! The purpose of art, whether large or small, is to enjoy it." That art is emotion is reflected in the various series she has designed.
