Karl-Erik Hoglund, born in Stockholm in 1940, trained as a graphic artist who has been active since 1957 and also a visual artist and sculptor. In his art, Höglund has been interested in the play between light and shadow. In strong and bright colors, he paints figures and landscapes with inspiration from the French Impressionists. Höglund creates illusions in his paintings and in his graphic sheets, by utilizing the play between light and shadow, with various small shifts in value. He is a colorist who mainly paints people in natural & archipelago environment. He is represented in a number of different municipalities and county councils throughout the country. Also found in our Nordic neighboring countries, Europe and partly in the USA.
