Carl Kylberg
Carl Kylberg (1878-1952) is an influential figure in 20th-century Swedish art. He is famous for his glowing color scales where the contours flow into each other with a meditative and mysterious atmosphere. Carl Kylberg had a strong preference for the four colors green, red, blue and yellow and often chose the shades where the special character of the individual colors is strongest and most pronounced. In terms of color symbolism, the bright yellow stands for wisdom, red for the living, blue and blue-green for mystery and the unknown but also for peace and spirituality.
