Susanna Arwin's Paintings

Susanna Arwin's unique visual art is created from self-made linen paper in a mini paper mill in Värmdö. The pulp is ground, dyed and finally vacuum pressed to create large sheets, as hard as leather. The process creates spontaneous effects in the paper that Susanna transforms into collages and oil paintings. A technique she is the only one in Sweden to use. The paper is not only her canvas but also form and color carrier, an opportunity to carry the expressions she strives for. The raw and authentic feeling is enhanced by handmade steel frames.
