Emilia Linderholm

SIBYLLEGATAN 69, STOCKHOLM

Galleri Melefors presents Chlorophyll and Spring Light, an exhibition with Emilia Linderholm, shown in our gallery at Sibyllegatan 69 in Stockholm from May 9th to May 16th.

In Linderholm's paintings, color carries the story. Green shades of chlorophyll meet soft pink tones in a visual world filled with greenery, light and the first hint of spring. Female figures return — dreamy, strong and timeless — and the same design language lives on in her glass, where the figures come to life in light and transparency. Between stillness and intensity, a world of imagination, color and form grows.

Open Wednesday–Thursday 12–18, Saturday 11–15.

The color carries the story

Emilia Linderholm (b. 1975) grew up in a family of artists in Vaxholm — the daughter of artist Lena Linderholm and singer Gösta Linderholm. She found her home in the opera scene early on, but it was painting that became her main expression. Today she works in a visual language where the expressive play of color sets the rhythm and creates a pleasant tone of harmony.

Dreamy figures

In Linderholm's visual world, female figures recur — sometimes alone, sometimes in motion, always with an inner presence. They are dreamy but not absent, strong but not harsh. The same figures live on in her glass art, where light transforms them into something new.

A tribute to spring

Chlorophyll and Spring Light is an exhibition about awakening. About the first green that breaks through the ground, the light that returns and the feeling that something new is on the way. Linderholm captures it with a brush that never rushes — warm, responsive and full of lust for life.
