Har du en fråga om konstverket?

Uno Vallman (1913-2004) was born in Dalarna as a poor boy. From 1936 he began to study art. First at Otte Sköld's painting school and from 1939 at the Stockholm Academy of Fine Arts. Vallman's first notable appearance took place in 1945 at Färg och Form in Stockholm, which together with a solo exhibition at the Kunstgalleriet in Gothenburg in 1946 was his breakthrough. Uno Vallman has his own face and his own language in his painting. In the 1960s, Vallman was sometimes called "The Picasso of the North" by French art critics, when he had exhibitions in Paris. Vallman had his own innovative style that is very difficult to copy, also called Vallmanism by critics in France. Recurring motifs in Vallman's painting are roosters, flower still lifes and landscapes. He has also depicted famous Stockholm environments. His greatest artistic achievement is undoubtedly the many monumental paintings in churches, schools and administrative buildings around the country.

If Gallery Melefors

Johan Melefors, born 1971, founder and CEO of Galleri Melefors, grew up in a family that is the third generation in the auction and antiques industry. Already during his childhood, Johan developed an interest in art and since the early 1990s has collected and traded classic, modern and contemporary art. konst.Galleri He started Melefors in Linköping in 2013 when he moved home from Stockholm to his birthplace of Linköping, which he felt lacked an art store and gallery with a breadth of established collector's art and a well-thought-out and future-oriented contemporary catalog to display.
