Galleri Melefors presents a duo exhibition with Louise Hävre and Krister Kern, shown in our gallery at Platensgatan 7 in Linköping from March 21–28.

In this exhibition, two different but complementary approaches to painting meet. Hävre works in a painting style where light, color and the stillness of the landscape are at the center. With Öland's nature as a recurring reference, she investigates how subtle shifts in tone and light can shape a pictorial space. Her paintings are characterized by a sensitive vision where the low-key and concentrated take their place.

Kern uses a more narrative imagery where the figurative meets a more open and associative painting. With a background in theater, his work has a sense of stage and presence, where the motifs can be experienced as fragments of a larger story.

Together they create a meeting between stillness and narrative, where the painting opens up for both reflection and imagination.
