Helle Bang's expressive, abstract painting combined with her characteristic sculptures is what defines her as an artist. In her painting we come into contact with both heaven and earth, where nature is the unfathomable source for finding inspiration, energy and harmony. Nature and its poetic color tones are captured in a coloristic fine sensitivity through an expressive and abstract painting. In the end, it is the viewer and the work that stand alone in the center, a dialogue more significant than any other – it is in the meeting with the viewer that the work is ultimately completely finished. Her fantastic sculptures with graceful sculptural forms are both modern and timeless.

JOHN BAUER COLLECTION
Ever since early childhood, Helle Bang has been inspired by the mystery of nature. It was the fascination with the beauty of nature that led her to create the John Bauer Collection as a tribute to the art, history, nature, and the magical world of John Bauer. The sculptures are handmade from scratch in clay with inspiration from John Bauer's famous fairy tale world. After casting, the works are carefully polished and processed by the artist. The beloved John Bauer was only 36 years old, but despite this managed to shape the original image of the Swedish folk tales. It is a true privilege to present parts of his life's work in these exclusive bronze sculptures.
FINE TUNED COLORISM
Helle Bang strives to capture in her paintings the color poetry of nature in all its expressiveness and abstraction. The natural play of colors is conveyed with a safe coloristic fine sensitivity. In her painting we encounter both heaven and earth, where nature is the unfathomable source for finding inspiration, energy, and harmony
"Let yourself be captured by the depth of the paintings and be swept away in thoughts and dreams. As a little girl, I loved to lie down on the grass to look up at the clouds playing across the sky and let my dreams fly free”.

THE MIRROR IMAGE THAT COMPLETES THE WORK
Helle Bang's famous graceful bronze women with mirror-like faces allow the viewer and the work to be in a wordless dialogue. It is only there, in the viewer's encounter with his own reflection, that the work is completed. Helle's creations provoke existential musings and help us along the way with life's big and small questions.
