Marie Åkerlund
Marie Akerlund, born 1966 in Finspång, Östergötland. Active as an artist and designer, currently lives in Lotorp with the forests and lakes right outside the house. There he has she also has her studio, a place where she can let her creativity flow. Åkerlunds Art often varies from soulful figures, women in various situations to mysterious forests where the viewer is sucked into suggestive natural landscapes with elements of magic and dreams. She exhibits her art throughout Europe and the USA and also designs glass for Rejmyre Glassworks. "- Painting for me is like reading a book where colors and contours become my words and the creative process an expression of my feelings."
