In 2023, Bertil Vallien celebrates 60 years working at Kosta and has created an exclusive collection that reflects his great artistic work. On April 1, several new works from the Swedish master of glass art will be released. Bertil Vallien is a Swedish glass designer and ceramist, a world artist with a huge track record. Working primarily in glass, Vallien has developed a unique idiosyncratic style of sandcast glass sculptures, often depicting boats and heads. Vallien's characteristic boats are filled with symbolic messages. The imagery of glass art invites the viewer on board a reflective journey in the tradition of Plutarch - "You never go down the same river twice".
