Per Cederbank's (born 1967) wonderful visual art arises from mixed media, where the basis is often a sparse figurative oil painting. The painting is done in very warm and soft colors and builds up images that onlookers sometimes describe as "archaeological" and "antique". That he also experiments with musical art is evident in all his pictures, where old music books and texts loom. Therefore, his paintings are often described in the same terms as music - i.e. harmony, timbre, composition and tones.
Per Cederbank has been an active artist for over two decades, and right from the early landscape period and his student days with the painter Arne Fallberg, Cederbank has developed his own visual world. Although Per claims that he has "now found his style", everyone sees that it is in constant development.
