Per Cederbanks (born 1967) beautiful visual art arises from mixed media, where the foundation often consists of sparse figurative oil painting. The painting is done in very warm and soft colors and builds up images that viewers have sometimes described as “archaeological” and “ancient”. That he also experiments with music is evident in all his pictures, where old sheet music and texts are visible. That is why his paintings are often described in the same terms as music - i.e. harmony, timbre, composition and tones.

Per Cederbank has been an active artist for over two decades, and from his early landscape period and his time as a student of the painter Arne Fallberg, Cederbank has developed his own visual world. Although Per claims that he has “now found his style”, everyone sees that it is in constant development.
