Christian Koivumaa - New York in Watercolor
After several stays in New York, Christian Koivumaa presents a series of watercolors in which the city's light, architecture and movement are captured with precision and presence.
In his interpretations, New York appears both concrete and dreamlike – a city where the monumental and the everyday coexist. Reflections in glass facades, people in motion and light refracted between skyscrapers create a world where each motif carries a sense of presence and memory.
The exhibition moves between the personal and the universal – a depiction of a city that is both a global symbol and an individual experience.
