Ulrica Hydman-Vallien (1938-2018) was a ceramist and glass and visual artist who trained at art colleges and abroad in, among other places, the USA, Holland, Mexico & Spain. The career was started at the Åfors glass factory with mainly ceramics, but it later switched to glass design. Snakes, wolves and writhing snakes are certain characteristics of Hydman-Vallien's art, as well as the playfulness with strong colors.
