Nils Kölare
Nils Kölare Artist (1930-2007) has been called a concretist or constructivist. The geometric element is certainly strong in his art, but Kölare himself called himself a landscape painter, which for the viewer is perhaps most noticeable in his later pictures. Above all, he was an artist interested in “movements and directions, tempo changes and color chords,” as a critic wrote at the posthumous exhibition at the Royal Swedish Academy of Arts in 2008.
