Lars Pirak (1932–2008) was a prominent Sami artist, craftsman and cultural mediator from Jokkmokk in Sweden. He was known for his versatile talents in art, music and traditional crafts, especially duodji, the Sami craft tradition. Pirak worked to preserve and develop Sami culture through his works and was also a skilled yoiker. His art and crafts reflect a deep connection to Sami identity and nature, and he received great appreciation both nationally and internationally. Lars Pirak was awarded several awards for his work, including the prestigious Asa Kitok scholarship.
