Victor Ajayi (b. 1999) was born in Nigeria, raised in Ireland and is currently based in Stockholm. Living between different countries and cultures has meant that he has never really felt at home in one place, a state that for Ajayi has become a mental purgatory, neither here nor there. Self-taught since the age of ten, and with a background in photography and videography along with influences from film, literature and music, he creates works that feel like frozen moments from a larger story.

Through light, movement and atmosphere, he builds urban, liminal worlds where the boundary between reality and inner experience is blurred and where the viewer is invited to reflect on their own search for belonging.
