Mauritz Karstrom
Mauritz Karström Artist, born in 1962 in Linköping, raised in Trollhättan and Gothenburg. Karström was an exceptional painter with a sense of color. It is a spontaneous painting, abstract expressionism with existential expressions. Diagnosed with schizophrenia, painting was a way to ward off anxiety. Music played a large part in his creation. Karström is represented at Gothenburg Art Museum, the Nordic Watercolour Museum and internationally in Tokyo and at the Louvre in Paris.
