Karström, Mauritz

Mauritz Karström Artist , born 1962 in Linköping, raised in Trollhättan and Gothenburg. Karström was an exceptional painter with a feeling for color. It is a spontaneous painting, abstract expressionism with existential expressions. Diagnosed with schizophrenia, painting was a way to cast a spell against the anxiety. Music played a large part in his creation. Karström is represented, among other things, at the Gothenburg Museum of Art, the Nordic Watercolor Museum and partly internationally in Tokyo and at the Louvre in Paris.
