Karl Axel Pehrson artist (1921–2005) carried out a number of monumental decorative tasks in a concrete spirit, before he abandoned his non-figurative design language in the sixties in favor of an almost surrealistic painting in flamboyant colors with insects, birds, and lush rainforest that motive. He has become somewhat of a cult figure for his dynamic composition "Dolphin movement" in black and white from the early fifties.
