Thure Wallner (1888-1965) came from Stockholm and was a nature painter like Bruno Liljefors. Recent studies of animals in their natural environment are his signature, with above all depictions of foxes, cats and birds in environments mainly from the Mälaren landscapes. His great wealth of detail in his paintings has meant that he is often represented on school posters. He has also illustrated children's books. Thure Wallner is represented at the National Museum in Stockholm.
