Angelica Wiik (1960) was born in Stockholm and now lives in Hälsingland where she has her studio. She paints expressive reflections on city life that radiate feminine sensuality, music and a sparkling joie de vivre. Wiik grew up in a family of artists where mother Margot Öjemark (ceramicist & illustrator) was an important source of inspiration. Today, Angelica Wiik is one of Sweden's most famous artists and has participated in a large number of exhibitions at both fairs and galleries since her debut in 1985.

Technique: Lithograph and hardened screen printing with metallic glitter
Edition: 290 numbered and signed sheets
Sheet size: 40 x 60 cm (55 x 75 cm including frame)
Master printer Björn Lumphé (Lumphé Litografiska) prints Angelica Wiik's lithographs. The process takes a long time, where the artist and the printer together build up the artwork one color at a time until the image is complete. Each color is printed separately, creating a deep and clear image with up to 14 layers of color. Finally, a hardened screen print with metallic glitter is added as a finish. Creating a lithograph is a true craft. Björn Lumphé has worked with the technique for over 20 years together with Sweden's most famous artists such as Madeleine Pyk, Ernst Billgren, Lennart Jirlow and Linn Fernström.

- Normally 2-10 working days delivery time. We use forwarders such as DHL. You will receive delivery confirmation via email when the artwork leaves the warehouse.

- When framing works, allow 2-3 weeks for the frame shop to hand-build your frame.

About Gallery Melefors
Johan Melefors, born 1971, founder and CEO of Galleri Melefors, grew up in a family that is the third generation in the auction and antiques industry. Already during his childhood, Johan developed an interest in art and since the early 1990s has collected and traded classic, modern and contemporary art. He started Galleri Melefors in Linköping in 2013 when he moved home from Stockholm to his birthplace of Linköping, which he felt lacked an art store and gallery with a breadth of established collector's art and a well-thought-out and future-oriented contemporary catalog to display.
