Oleg Bondarenko, born in Odessa, Ukraine, is a new exclamation mark in Swedish art. After several decades of creation and exhibitions in the USA, Spain, Holland and Brazil, among others, he has settled on Gotland. Oleg is enchanted by nature and its cycles, in the stillness of which he draws inspiration. Autumn's preparation for winter and the colors that fade to be reborn with full force remind us of Gustav Klimt's palette. Oleg Bondarenko is firmly rooted in art history as a trained architect and in Renaissance painting since the age of 10. He takes techniques, color scales and compositions from classical masters such as Botticello and Caravaggio but with his own, modern voice. In the mystery, the inexplicable, and the beauty, Oleg creates a deep image world to return to with constantly new discoveries for the viewer. A journey through time and space with nature as organic fund.
