Har du en fråga om konstverket?

Christina Ridgeway (born 1987) is an American artist in magical realism who lives and works in Falköping, Västra Götaland. Ridgeway has painted since childhood, growing up next to the forest in Maryland, USA. In the enigmatic nature, she found a sense of magic, mystery and peace that has found its way into her symbolic paintings.

She describes her paintings as stories whose words or sentences are not always crystal clear - just like in the old fairy tales we heard when we were little. The openness of the depicted forest and the wild symbolism linger as riddles in the viewer's mind and allow themselves to unfold over a long period of time. "I choose feelings and situations, both good and bad, and strive to articulate them in a beautiful and sometimes even dark way in the painting." Ridgeway's artistry becomes a kind of alchemical refinement where sensory impressions are transformed into beauty and wonder on the canvas. Christina Ridgeway has been an active artist since the early 2010s and has exhibited and curated exhibitions around the world. Ridgeway is primarily self-taught and has also studied at the Swedish Academy of Realistic Art (SARA).

If Gallery Melefors

Johan Melefors, born 1971, founder and CEO of Galleri Melefors, grew up in a family that is the third generation in the auction and antiques industry. Already during his childhood, Johan developed an interest in art and since the early 1990s has collected and traded classic, modern and contemporary art. konst.Galleri He started Melefors in Linköping in 2013 when he moved home from Stockholm to his birthplace of Linköping, which he felt lacked an art store and gallery with a breadth of established collector's art and a well-thought-out and future-oriented contemporary catalog to display.
