"Triboulet was born in France in 1479 and served as court jester for Kings Louis XII and Francis I. He was renowned for his quick wit, often to the point of getting into trouble with royalty and nobility when his jokes went too far. Once, unable to resist, Triboulet slapped Francis I on the rear, to the amusement of nearby noblemen. The king lost his temper and threatened to execute Triboulet. Later, Francis calmed down and promised to forgive him if he could think of an apology that was even more insulting. Triboulet replied, ‘I’m so sorry, Your Majesty; I didn’t recognize you! I thought you were the queen!’ Eventually, Triboulet pushed his jokes too far again, breaking an order not to joke about the queen. This time, Francis I ordered his execution but, in recognition of Triboulet's years of service, allowed him to choose his method of death. Triboulet is said to have responded, ‘Good sire, by Saint Nitouche and Saint Pansard, patrons of madness, I ask to die of old age.’ Francis had no choice but to laugh and instead banished him from the kingdom."

“Silent Stories” is an art project created by Andreas Lundberg and his wife, Annie Vesterdahl Lundberg. Andreas is a photographer with a background in commercial, fashion, and documentary photography. Annie is a hairstylist, makeup artist, and also serves as the project’s stylist. Each piece is inspired by a true story or life experience, which Andreas and Annie have interpreted, sometimes altering the time and setting. The creative process is often lengthy and exciting—a continuous search for a story they can reimagine as an artwork. Hundreds of sketches are turned and twisted until they ultimately become a photograph. The *Silent Stories* project began in 2016, with each work signed and numbered in a limited edition. The stories that inspired the photos are attached to the back of each piece.
